Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How is an insurance broker compensated?

Answer: Insurance brokers are paid a commission by the insurance company at the time the insured pays the policy premium. The amount of the commission varies by line of coverage and also by insurer. Typically, we are paid a 10% commission on E&O/D&O policies and a 15% commission on Office Package policies. Frenkel believes in full transparency and will disclose its commission on every transaction upon request.
